PLN is conducting a state-by-state survey of inmate phone systems, and Hawaii is one of three states file:///W|/telephone%20project/HI/Phone%20contract%20email.htm (1 of 2) [9/21/2011 2:42:08 PM] file:///W|/telephone%20project/HI/Phone%20contract%20email.htm where we lack data. I am seeking the name of the contractor DPS uses for inmate phone services at Hawaii-based prisons, as well as the commission rate received by the DPS through its inmate phone service contract. Lastly, I am seeking rate schedules for local, intrastate and interstate calls for the inmate phone system -- collect calls only, including both connection charges and per-minute rates if applicable. Many thanks for your assistance in this regard. We don't need records or documentation if we can otherwise obtain the requested data (e.g., by email). If it is only available in record form, we would be glad to pay for copies pursuant to a formal records request. -Alex Friedmann Associate Editor, PLN www.prisonlegalnews.org (615) 495-6568 -Alex Friedmann Associate Editor, PLN www.prisonlegalnews.org (615) 495-6568 file:///W|/telephone%20project/HI/Phone%20contract%20email.htm (2 of 2) [9/21/2011 2:42:08 PM]
