island is $1.95, inter-island is $1.45 plus a usage fee that is $.14 per minute during the day through the week, and

Subject Request for information re HI DPS

Aloha Mr. Read,
I'm not sure if you are the correct person to address this question, but please refer it to the appropriate
office if you are not.
PLN is conducting a state-by-state survey of inmate phone systems, and Hawaii is one of three states

where we lack data.
I am seeking the name of the contractor DPS uses for inmate phone services at Hawaii-based prisons, as
well as the commission rate received by the DPS through its inmate phone service contract. Lastly, I am
seeking rate schedules for local, intrastate and interstate calls for the inmate phone system -- collect calls
only, including both connection charges and per-minute rates if applicable.
Many thanks for your assistance in this regard. We don't need records or documentation if we can
otherwise obtain the requested data (e.g., by email). If it is only available in record form, we would be
glad to pay for copies pursuant to a formal records request.
